ABOUT MASHATU GAME RESERVE
Mashatu Game Reserve is an exceptional African wilderness spanning 42,000 hectares within the Northern Tuli Game Reserve in Botswana. Nestled in the remote eastern corner of the country, where the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers meet, Mashatu boasts a landscape of wide plains, lush forests, rugged hills, and ancient ridges, creating an unparalleled ecological diversity.

TOUR OVERVIEW
This eight night photographic safari tour will fly you into Mashatu from Johannesburg, South Africa. Spending eight nights in some of the best safari camps in the reserve.
Four nights will be at Mashatu Lodge followed by four nights at Tuli Safari Lodge.
The exclusive fly-in packages enable you to save significantly with free flights and seamless access directly into Mashatu.
Valid until 31 December 2025. Structured around return flights.
Return flights included are not private charters. Passengers will be sharing the flight with others travelling to and from Mashatu / Limpopo Valley Airfield

UNDERGROUND PHOTO HIDE
Sunken underground photography hide, a dedicated photographic vehicle, and knowledgeable photography professionals will guide you in making incredible images.
This experience for both ammeters and professions.
The award-winning sunken hide at Mashatu has been designed specifically for photographers who want to get up close and personal to wildlife.
The hide's location is at an exceptionally busy watering hole that is frequented by a variety of animals and birds. The highlights are the elephants - who come in large herds to the hide. Imagine being just 2 meters away from a herd of elephants, while at ground level!
In one session, you can expect to be thrilled by a variety of antelope species, birdlife, elephant herds, and occasionally predators too.
Even non-photographers thoroughly enjoy visiting the hide - here the focus is on having the animals approach you at remarkably close range.
The PhotoMashatu vehicle was designed with the photographer's needs in mind. It provides ample space for your equipment, gimbal arms for camera support, and soft boxes to store your cameras while driving.
The vehicle also features a special low-level floor that allows you to capture eye-level images.
This vehicle has been praised as one of the most comfortable photographic vehicles in Africa – giving you that crucial advantage for getting the best possible images while out in the field.

NIGHTS 1 TO 4 - MASHATU LODGE
4-star lodge consisting of 14 luxury suites.
Each of the air-conditioned suites is tastefully decorated and includes impressive black and white prints of Africa’s most beautiful animals.
A double bed and an extra-large single bed, together with a seating area that includes a single day bed, comfortably accommodates families.
Spacious en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower facilities and a separate W.C.
2 large swimming pools are a focal point to cool down and relax between game activities.
The Discovery Room is the portal through which curious visitors get a glimpse of another world. Animal specimens and relics will fascinate and educate visitors of all ages.
For a touch of retail therapy, the fully stocked curio shop showcases a variety of African crafts, clothing and jewellery.

NIGHTS 5 TO 8 - TULI SAFARI LODGE
Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatuis set on the bank of the mighty Limpopo River, with rolling lawns surrounded by sandstone outcrops.
This 4-star lodge consists of 8luxury tented suites that are spacious, airy and elevated. Large wrap-around decks provide a relaxing outdoor space. The interiors are a modern interpretation of the classic ‘out of Africa’ décor, with a flowing open plan design.
All suites feature an island bed, lounge area, freestanding bath, large separate shower, double basin vanity area, separate W.C. and ample storage space.
The extensive lodge gardens and grounds include a large swimming pool, waterhole, hide, walking trail and star gazing deck.
